Round One: Deployment

Tiamat was first on the field. She took position behind a wall and created a Hekat.

The Fire Crawler was first out for the UNA. It took a position in the open with LOS to both entry points.

Baal Took position in the only location available for deployment. Tony was glad he was able to purchase the Improved Articulation.

The Steel Troopers took position in contact with the Objective and went into Over Watch

The Grim Golems, Storm Golems and Bane Goliaths all took positions in their deployment zones.

Round 2: Death Dealers Death

5 VP to UNA for control of Objective

UNA wagered 5LP and won Activation by one point.

Purchased 600 RP + 100 RP = 700 RP

Death Dealers Deployed Set in Over Watch

Hekat Dashed into contact with Death Dealers

RULE VARIATION: We decided that the Death Dealers could use Overwatch because they could see the Hekat coming.

Death Dealers fired 24 rounds with only 1 miss. 3 hits to the Hekat 1 Leg, 2 Frame

Hekat killed 3 Death Dealers (ow!) Tiamat Repaired 1 HP to Hekat

Deployed Star Troopers in cover Missile Launcher fired at Hekat, hit…no damage.

Tiamat Moved, couldn’t fit through the door.

Fire Crawler attacked the Hekat. Hekat destroyed. UNA 2 VP

Baal moved to LOS on Fire Crawler, fired hit…4 HP to Frame (whew!)

Grim Golems, Storm Golems and Bane Goliaths all moved positions.

Round 3: Almost!

5 VP to UNA for Objective Control

UNA Wagered 6 LP and won activation

Activated Fire Crawler, repaired one Frame. Fired at Baal. 5 hits. 2 Damage. 4 SP on the frame, 4 SP on the legs. (Fire Crawler does 17/2 damage, each hit takes 2 SP)

Baal Moved (Shouldn’t have been able to with damaged legs!!!), fired on Fire Crawler. 2 SP on the legs.

Death Dealers (Epstone) moved and shot at the Storm Golems killing 2.

Tiamat advanced on Death Dealers and killed Epstone. 2 VP for Therians (1 for a unit, 1 for a hero). Repaired one SP on Baal Frame. Created Hekat.

Steel Troopers moved to contact with Fire Crawler and repaired 1 SP on the frame. Fired Laser Guns at Baal. 2 Hit 1 Weapon SP. 1 Body SP.

Banes moved and Nina sniped Star Troopers medics, killing both. The rest of the banes killed 5 Star Troopers leaving the Missile Launcher.

Star Troopers activated and passed Morale (rolling a hard 6!).

Storm Golems moved and shot at the Steel Troopers, killing 5.

Fire Toads deployed via Neutral Access Zone. Fired at Baal, all missed.

Grim Golems moved into position.

Round 4: Carnage!

5 VP to UNA for control of Objective

VP: UNA 17 Therian 2

UNA Wagered 6 LP, won activation.

Fire Crawler repaired 1 Frame SP. Fired on Baal. 2SP to legs 2SP to weapons. No leg SP left, Baal destroyed. 2 VP to UNA

Grim Golems teleported in contact with the Steel Troopers. Killed all but 2.

Fire Toad moved in and shot at the Hekat. 3 hits, 1 leg, 1 body, 1 weapon.

Bane Goliaths moved, shot at Steel Troopers killing the rest. 1 VP to Therian.

Star Trooper failed Morale test.

Tiamat Rushed the Fire Crawler. 5 Damage: 2 legs 2 weapons 1 Frame. Repaired Hekat. Reconstructed a Storm Golem.

Hekat rushed in contact with the Fire Crawler. 1 SP damage to the Frame.

Storm Golems shot into the Fire Toads. 2 Frame SP, 1 weapon.

Round 5: Finished

5 VP to Therians for control of Objective.

UNA wagered 6 (shouldn’t have been able to, missing commander!) won authority.

Fire Crawler repaired 1 SP to frame. Shot Tiamat. 4 SP to Leg 2 SP to Weapons.

Tiamat attacked Fire Crawler. 2 SP to the Frame.

Fire Toads moved and shot at Tiamat. 1 SP to the Frame, 1 SP to the Weapons.

Hekat attacked Fire Crawler. Fire Crawler destroyed. 2 VP to Therian.

Steel Trooper Failed Morale, dead.

Banes, shot Fire Toad. Fire Toads destroyed. Captain Newton Ejects.

Storm Golems fire at Captain Newton and kill her. 3 VP to Therians. Game Over.

There were quite a few tactical mistakes made by both players. The Therians deployed too far away to move in quickly to the attack position. By moving the Fire Crawler to the Steel Troopers instead of moving the Steel Troopers to the Fire Crawler would have provided them with better cover against attacks, which may have secured the Victory Points needed for the win after round 4. The Fire Toad attack at the end should also have been targeting in the Hekat, because it hadn’t activated yet and may have spared the Fire Crawler as well as gaining the 2 Victory Points needed for the win. I just HATE Tiamat so much, that I shoot at her every chance I get.
